No-suicide contracts are a common therapeutic intervention for suicidal or potentially suicidal individuals Motto 1999 . DESCRIPTION A no-suicide contract is an agreement between the client and the therapist. As with all types of contracts no-suicide contracts can vary in the degree of explicitness with which they are negotiated and endorsed by each party Drew 2001 .
