The horizontal axis is dark to light from left to right. The vertical axis is a level from 0 to 255. To apply the Levels filter and modify the tonal range of an image follow these steps 1. Select the object that you want to modify. 2. Click the Add Effects button in the Effects section of the Property inspector and choose Adjust Color o Levels from the Add Effects menu.
