Their chemical structures were determined using 1D, 2D-NMR and ESI-MS analysis as well as by comparison with reported data. This is the first report of these compounds from A. hainanensis. INTRODUCTION Antidesma is a genus of tropical plants belonging to Euphorbiaceae family and comprises about 100 species in the world, 29 species in Vietnam [1]. The study of the chemical composition showed that this genus contains alkaloids, coumarinolignans, megastigmanes, lignan glucosides, benzopyranones, ferulic acids, and particularly polyphenols, in addition to oil [2]. Biological activities of this genus have been studied, such as antifungal, cytotoxic, and antioxidant activities [3]. However, chemical composition and biological activity of A. hainanensis have not been extensively reported up to now. This paper reports the isolation and structure .
