TAILIEUCHUNG - INTERNATIONAL AGENCY FOR RESEARCH ON CANCER BIENNIAL REPORT 2006 -2007

The staff of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and the Agency diaspora, were saddened to hear of the death of Dr Lorenzo Tomatis, the second Director of the IARC and the founder of the IARC Monographs Programme for Carcinogen Identification and Evaluation. Dr Tomatis was a welcome visitor to the Agency. He had been participating in the planning meetings for the 100th Volume of the Monographs and had agreed to prepare a history of the Monograph Programme for this 100th volume.
