The StanMark project brings together researchers and policy‐makers to develop a set of standards for marketing foods and beverages consistent with the resolution of the World Health Assembly. Objectives Convene a series of meetings in Europe and the USA to bring together key members of the scientific research community and policy‐making community to consider how marketing food and beverages may affect children’s health. Identify current ‘best practice’ approaches to the control of marketing, including measures not specifically addressing food and beverage marketing, or not specifically directed to the protection of children. Explore the use of standards and marketing codes to influence commercial activity, including standards from other industrial sectors.
