Printers refer to that note as a slug. Slugs are often notes to the printer phone numbers to call if there are any problems or other information related to the file. Obviously slugs are not meant to be part of the final trimmed document. InDesign allows you to create a slug area in the Bleed and Slug section of the Document Setup dialog box shown in Figure 5.
