In chapter 4, Drilldown Reporting, you learned how to create a two-axis form report in Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). This appendix offers a different perspective on Drilldown reporting: Using the Executive Information System (EIS) to create a one-axis form report. Since the EIS is used across more applications than CO-PA, it is worth understanding how Drilldown reports can be created in the EIS. Quick View of the Output The EIS is a useful analytical tool for managers and planners. The backbone of the EIS is Drilldown reporting. Shown below is the output of a sample EIS Drilldown report. Characteristics First axis rows Key Figures This graphic highlights the following organizational elements of an EIS Drilldown report First axis The rows starting with Customer form the first and only axis for the sample report shown above. Characteristics The drilldown characteristics in this example are Customer Material and Sales org. The data in the sample report is organized by customer. Key Figures The drilldown key figures in this example are sales revenue value of orders value of open orders and sales-to-orders ratio. The key figures are the fixed key figures columns for this report. The guided tour on page F-4 shows you the steps for creating the sample report shown above. The example is based on an EIS report created from Sales
