Auditing incoming connections provides you with a record of which users have connected to the client running Windows 7 remotely. If you are using basic auditing you should enable the Computer Configuration Windows Settings Security Settings Local Policies Audit Policy Audit Logon Events policy. This policy records all attempts to log on and off the computer to which the policy applies. If you enable the Computer Configuration Windows Settings Security Settings Local Policies Security Options Audit Force Audit Policy Subcategory Settings policy you can use the more detailed auditing policies that are available in the Computer Configuration Windows Settings Security Settings
