More rarely duck, goose, turkey. Fish and chips Fish and chips is a popular food that originated in the United Kingdom in 1858 or 1863. It consists of deep-fried fish (traditionally cod, haddock or flounder) in batter or breadcrumb with potatoes. Bubble & Squeak Typically made from cold vegetables that have been left over from a previous meal, often the Sunday roast. The chief ingredients are potatoes and cabbage, but carrots, peas and other vegetable can be added. Conclusions English food became a famous food in the world.
