“Ethernet Passive Optical Network” (hereafter called “EPON Network”) comprises an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) system using its individual OLT to interconnect with one or more specific groups of Optical Network Units (ONUs) via a corresponding number of Passive Optical Distribution Networks (ODNs) to construct a broadband point-to-multipoint access network between central office and customer premises. A Service Provider can provide the broadband triple play services by way of the EPON Network, such as high-speed Internet access, VoIP and IPTV services.
