Although most cases of endometrial cancer cannot be prevented, there are some things that may lower your risk of getting this disease. One thing you can do is to change risk factors whenever possible. Women who are overweight or obese have up to 3½ times the risk of getting endometrial cancer as compared to women with a healthy weight. Getting to and maintaining a healthy weight is one way to lower the risk of this cancer. Regular physical activity (exercise) may also be a way to help lower endometrial cancer risk. Abstract About 80 of pancreatic cancer patients have glucose intolerance or frank diabetes. This observation has led to the following two hypotheses i. pancreatic cancer causes the associated diabetes and ii. the conditions associated with diabetes promote the development of pancreatic cancer. Evidence supporting both hypotheses has been accumulated in previous studies. This article reviews these studies especially those that have been conducted recently. Review The early symptoms of pancreatic cancer such as abdominal pain weight loss fatigue jaundice and nausea are nonspecific and may occur late in the course of the disease 1 2 . As a result pancreatic cancer is usually diagnosed at an advanced stage frequently after the tumor has already metastasized. Pancreatic cancer is insensitive to pharmacological and radiological intervention and often recurs after apparently curative surgery.
