Aquatic organisms living, especially Oreochomic mossambicus and Labeo rohita cultured in polluted water for local consumption would pose a threat to human health. INTRODUCTION Constructing from low land level, Hanoi has many scenic lakes. Lakes in Ha Noi have become highly polluted due to rapid urbanisation and a long history of poor management [1]. Previous researches showed that Ha Noi lakes receiving a large volume of untreated waste water have created a highly metal contaminated sediment layer which would threaten to the aquatic ecosystem [2, 3].
