This article discusses influencing factors in students’communication skills and creative ability. Confucian ideology and culture of respecting teachers in public are considered to be the principal causes of limiting students’creativity and communication. Ảnh hưởng từ văn hóa, tư tưởng Khổng giáo và văn hóa giữ gìn thể diện nơi công cộng được xem là các yếu tố chính góp phần hạn chế khả năng giao tiếp và sáng tạo của người học. Context We are living in a world with numerous rapidly dramatic and ongoing changes and challenges. Beside its advantages we have enjoyed so far in Vietnam context, we have always also dealt with new problems and challenges. In order to solve these unavoidable problems and challenges, it is required that we have to be active, dynamic, and especially creative to go with the times. To obtain these characteristics of adaptation, problem solving and communication skills for the citizens, society needs to prepare well and equip them with necessary skills and abilities.
