In 1986 the World Health Organization teamed with three other United Nations agencies - United Nations Environment Programme UNEP United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO and the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA to form the Inter-Agency Project on Risk Management. The purpose of this programme is to develop an integrated approach to the identification prioritization and minimization of important industrial hazards in a given area.
