TAILIEUCHUNG - LoopStar® 712 Ideally Suited for Extending Ethernet and TDM Services to Single and Small Customer Locations

Customer demand for lower cost services from providers is increasing at a rapid rate. At the same time, customers want to maintain or even increase the levels of efficiencies and capabilities they are already receiving. This presents a dilemma to the service provider: how to deliver new, cost-efficient Ethernet services to small- and medium-size customer locations over a resilient infrastructure while at the same time maintaining current revenue streams and features from circuit-based services. The LoopStar 712 is currently being deployed at the edge of the Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) to help solve these challenges | SPEC SHEET Customer demand for lower cost services from providers is increasing at a rapid rate. The LoopStar 712 is currently being deployed at the edge of the Metropolitan Area Network MAN to help solve these challenges. The LoopStar 712 offers the complete suite of LoopStar 700 software with full support for both differentiated Ethernet or legacy services AC or DC power options intelligent management and a mix of connectivity choices. When used in conjunction with the Protected Switching Ring PSR technology the LoopStar 712 can be used to build cost-effective resilient optical Ethernet rings at any size location providing customers with the reliability and speeds they desire. The LoopStar 712 comes equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet ports four 10 100Base-T ports and two T1 E1 J1 ports with circuit emulation services. The versatility of the LoopStar 712 allows providers to reach small- to medium-size customers and offer a wide variety of connectivity speeds and services. In addition these customers can take advantage of the sub-50 millisecond resiliency of PSR to ensure the reliable delivery of services.
