The SFET supports cross-connect applications in which limited rack space is available. The SFET can be used as a demarcation or interface point between service providers and businesses/campuses, or as an interface point between outside plant (OSP) and intrafacility fiber cable (IFC). The cross-connect capability allows service providers to turn up new services on demand. The front access connector panel can be configured with a wide variety of connector types. Connector panels can be ordered with or without pigtails. The 144 front-facing fiber splice panel equipped with six drawers accommodates two 12 fiber splice trays per drawer. The panel allows OSP and IFC to be spliced to pigtails which are routed to the connector panel the OSP and IFC can be spliced together and directly routed to a designated location. Fiber management features throughout the cabinet provide protection for the fibers. Vertical cable guides and the horizontal fiber management panel ensure protection and maintain the proper minimum bend radius for fiber cables and patch cords.
