TAILIEUCHUNG - Effect of transplanting dates and PGRS on growth and yield of Kharif onion (Allium cepa L.) under Bihar Region

An experiment was conducted at Vegetable Research farm, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar during2018 to explore the possibility of growing Kharif onion inBihar region for higher yield and economic return. A short day variety (Agrifound Dark Red) of Kharif onion was transplanted in three dates (21st July, 6th August and 22nd August) with seven PGRs concentrations (control (water spray), Ethephon 2000ppm,2500 and 3000ppm) and Cycocel (1500ppm2000and 2500ppm) in split- plot design with three replications. Observations were recorded on plant height and number of leaves per plant at 60 and 90 DAT, polar and equatorial diameter, average and marketable bulb yield. | Effect of transplanting dates and PGRS on growth and yield of Kharif onion (Allium cepa L.) under Bihar Region
