I always wanted to design a spring shawl, so here is what finally emerged: Some sunrays at the centre top; below, birds high up in the sky flying north after a long winter, and on the bottom the first blossoms appear, lots of them. To finish, I added a nice and easy-to-knit lacy edging. Very Important Notes The shawl is knit in two triangles from the centre top down to the sides. The chart shows the outer edgings to the sides. The centre between the charts is always knit OOAOO. So you knit OOAO on the right side OOAOO in the centre between the triangles and OAOO on the left side. That means that the OAOO in the right triangle already belongs to the centre stitch and that OOAO in the left triangle also belongs to the centre stitch. The centre stitch of the right and left charts is only knit once. Instructions Setup for the shawl Cast on 3 sts any way you like. Knit 10 rows.
