Then your test examiner will play four sentences spoken out loud. Once you have listened to the short statements you will need to select the spoken statement that best describes the photograph in your test booklet. For example you might see the following photo in your test booklet. your test booklet since it corresponds with the spoken statement This man is typing on a laptop computer because this is what the picture shows. Although the man might be going to a meeting or might be listening to music while working on his computer there is no way to ascertain this from the photo so choices b and c are not correct choice d is an irrelevant question so this option is also not correct. Let s consider another example. In your booklet you might see the following photograph. You might then hear these statements about the picture a. This man is typing on a laptop computer. b. This man is listening to music. c. This man is late for a meeting. d. What is the weather like today You will not see these statements printed in your test booklet. Instead you will simply fill in the letter on your answer sheet that corresponds to the correct statement. In this case choice a will correspond to the spoken statement This man is typing on a laptop computer choice b will correspond to the spoken statement This man is listening to music and so forth. To succeed on this portion of the test you must select the letter that corresponds with the spoken statement that best describes the picture. In the preceding example for instance you would select choice a in Your examiner would then play a CD and you might hear these four statements a. Where is my doll b. Children love to play. c. The weather is good for a picnic today. d. Let s go outside. In this case you would mark choice b in your test booklet since the spoken statement Children love to play
