In teaching how to write social discourse essays at high school, writing skills are vital and necessary as they are seen as a core element in creating structured and persuasive arguments for compositions. However, it is quite difficult for learners to acquire these skills. However, it is quite difficult for learners to acquire these skills. The main purpose of this article is to provide specific and practical orientations to help students improve their writing skills in writing social discourse essays. and in national examinations since 2008-2009 up to now. One of the three major contents of an examination paper is evaluating the knowledge of social discourse (accounting for 3/10 points). However, in reality, there is a great deal of concern in teaching to write discourse essays, for example, the number of periods for it is very limited (2 periods of social discourse/ 51 periods of literature). Social discourse essays are mainly taught in the advanced program of grade 11, in the basic program of grade 12 ( 2 periods /35 periods of literature, in the advanced program of grade 12 (4 periods/53 periods of literature). Therefore, it is, in a limited time, difficult for teachers to provide learners with sufficient knowledge in writing social discourse essays to meet the requirements of national examinations as social discourse tests are both diverse and tough. Moreover, some problems still exist with regard to teaching methods and training writing skills. To solve these problems, we have to investigate some of the issues related to teaching social discourse essays at high school such as the awareness and attitudes of teachers and learners .
