Medicinal plants have greater accuracy than chemotherapeutic agents because of their broad spectrum activity, cost effectiveness and eco-friendly disease preventive measure. The application of herbs in aquaculture has been a new approach. Medicinal herbs act as immunostimulants modulating the immune response to enhance health status of fish. Different scientific studies revealed that fishes fed with herbal plants showed marked increased of red blood cell, leucocyte counts and hemoglobin status.
