One of the reasons for that is probably the fact that events aren t available in other database management systems so users aren t aware that such functionality exists. Therefore their mind is not set to think in that direction. What are events Events are simple notification messages sent asynchronously from server to clients. It means that they are not a part of standard request-reply mechanism used for database queries.
