The topic of this project is The research, design and manufacture aim at bringing comfort to the users. The reasons why we choose this topic: the demand of health caring becomes more necessary than ever, there are some limits in existed designs. | Basing on the knowledge about anotomy and mechanics, we ourselves study on spine skeleton and back muscles. After that we pointed out all important supporting points that will release all the pressure on the back when we apply a force on them. Next, we choose the sitting posture that helps create a 90 degrees between thigh and body. That is 15 degrees declination between the bottom place and horizontal forces users to the designed posture. According to parameter collected directly from the model, we present detail layout and calculation about the maximum allowed power and weight. Then we produced the prototype with available materials. We listed usable materials for the skeleton, surface and buffer. Discussing in some times, we agreed to select INOX as the component for skeleton, according to Dr. Kien ‘s suggestion, we picked Aluminium composite panel to make surface and leather to make buffer. We obeyed the initial design that required to produce the the skeleton by a bended INOX tube. However, on the process, we lacked skill about bending hard metal as INOX, our group moved to another approach: combining weilding and bending. The skeleton was separated into two symmetric parts and then healed together. The next part is the surface, we bound 4 horizontal bars to combine the ALU face with the skeleton. The surrounding links were fixed by crews. Due to the limited time, we couldn’t spend much energies on the buffer. As a result, some details were not good as repected. We did the measurements of the chair ‘s deformation when different weights used it. Together with it, we considered the consummers ‘ ideas.
