Raimo Veranen has almost made the motif of children his own trademark over the years. “In the early 1980s, my wife was expecting a baby and was scanned. On the screen, we saw a tiny figure making rapid, jerky movements. I remember that very clearly and it has become a source of inspiration in my work,” he says.
