I. Objectives: Help the students to talk about their school and may describe it simply. II.Language contents: - Grammar: Simple present tense : Where and yes/ no questions. - Vocabulary: small, big , school, room. | I. Aims unit Big and small - Ss read about a description of a school and practise “s” to talk about possesstions. - To develop ss’skills. II. Objectives unit Big and small By the end of he lesson, Ss will be able to understand the reading and practise “s” possession, answer the questions axactly and apply them in real situations. III. Teaching steps unit Big and small 1. Warm up (1’) Greet and check the Ss’ attendance. 2. Revision (5’) - Ask Ss to answer some questions: - Where do you live? - Where are you? . - Present the new lesson 3. New lesson. (37’) * Presentation - Get Ss to look at pictures of part A1, and remark schools in the three pictures. - Get Ss to guess which school is in the city / country. - Play the tape – Ss listen once first. - Introduces some new words. - Guide Ss to get meaning of new words. - Guide Ss to read new words twice or more. - Let Ss read new words in silence. - Call some Ss to read new words loudly. - Introduce new form. - Give an example and writes it on the board. - Guide Ss to read the modern sentence and explain. - Guide Ss to set up the new form and translate the modern sentence. - Get Ss to give examples. - Guide Ss to use adjectives. - Guide Ss to learn form, which is used to ask and answer about position of objects. * Practice - Play the tape A1 again – Ss listen and repeat. - Guide Ss to read it once. - Get Ss to read part A1 in individually in silence. - Call some Ss to read loudly. - Get them to read part A1 in silence again and answer the questions in part A2. (G5’) Group 1,2: a,b Group 2,4: c,d - Call groups to give the answer. - Correct. IV. Consolidation unit Big and small - Get them to read part A1 in silence again, and then
