Đang chuẩn bị nút TẢI XUỐNG, xin hãy chờ

Promoting exports is often an important option for small open economies like South Africa. It was certainly thought that trade would contribute to job creation. Yet there has been concern that trade has encouraged greater capital intensity. This paper compares labour absorbtion that arises from trade and from the domestic market. It takes this further to consider employment created by export destination. A fuller understanding of employment implications is made possible by using social accounting matrix to take into account both direct and indirect employment | Employment and skills in South African exports Dirk Ernst van Seventer Free download from www.hsrcpress.ac.za Free download from www.hsrcpress.ac.za Employment and Economic Policy Research Programme Occasional Paper 2 Series Editor Miriam Altman Executive Director Employment and Economic Policy Research Programme of the Human Sciences Research Council Published by HSRC Press Private Bag X9182 Cape Town 8000 South Africa www.hsrcpress.ac.za 2006 Human Sciences Research Council First published 2006 All rights reserved.
