Mungbean [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] is an important short duration grain legume which is grown in different parts of the country, for grain and green manure. It is an outstanding source of easily digestible proteins with low flatulence, which balances the staple rice diet in Asia. Mungbean yellow mosaic disease (MYMD) caused by whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) transmitted mungbean yellow mosaic virus (MYMV) is an important constraint of mungbean in India. Thirty five Indian mungbean genotypes were evaluated to identify the source of resistance against MYMV during kharif-2013. | Screening of mungbean Vigna radiata L.
