There have been considerable improvements in the availability of data on children in the past two decades in India, mainly through major household surveys. India already had a long tradition of Population Census, which also provides decadal data on a few population based indicators on children. However, data obtained from the administrative registers and programme monitoring registers related to children have been weak and unable to provide data, especially at the outcome levels. All flagship programmes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) have in-built monitoring mechanisms. But these routine monitoring systems have several shortcomings in terms of suitability and quality and do not meet. | SENIORS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES Seniors programs and services INFORMATION GUIDE 2012 - 2013 For more information about seniors programs and services please call Alberta Supports Contact Centre Toll-free anywhere in Alberta 1-877-644-9992 Edmonton 780-644-9992 Website www.health.alberta.ca Deaf or hearing impaired with TDD TTY units Toll-free anywhere in Alberta 1-800-232-7215 Edmonton 780-427-9999 The information provided is subject to the provisions of the pertinent Government Acts and Regulations.
