According to the 2010 Status Report on Prevention and Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage and Pre- Eclampsia/Eclampsia, misoprostol reportedly is on national EMLs in 61 percent of the 31 countries surveyed by USAID/MCHIP, although approved uses do not consistently include postpartum hemorrhage prevention or treatment.
