In the assessment of this Office the operation of the privacy controls available to users within Facebook are complex. This is despite efforts by Facebook to simplify the settings in order to make them more easily understandable and usable. As our analysis in this Section and other sections demonstrate there are a multitude of different controls that must be accessed by the user to express their preference in relation to the use of their personal data.
