Abstract Introduction Vacuum-assisted breast biopsy is a minimally invasive technique used increasingly for the assessment of mammographically detected non-palpable breast lesions. The effectiveness of vacuum-assisted breast biopsy has been demonstrated on lesions both with and without microcalcifications.
