Three iso-energetic diets containing 17 control 16 and 15 CP were used. Beside the content of CP all the diets were formulated in such a way to satisfy the requirement of the essential amino acids to the standard set by the Commission of Farm Animal Nutrition Czech Academy of Sciences. Results showed that the low-protein diets supplemented with methionine and lysine had no significant effect on laying rate egg production egg weight and egg quality of the hens P 0.05 . There were no significant differences in hatchability and percentage of embryonated eggs among the three groups P 0.05 however the low-protein diets supplemented with methionine and lysine significantly affected the hatching rate. There were no significant differences in hatching rate between the control group and the group fed with the 16 CP diet P 0.05 but the difference in the parameter between the control and the group fed with 15 CP diet were significant P 0.05 . There were no significant differences in feed conversion ratio FCR per 10 hatchable eggs among the three groups P 0.05 but the low-protein diets reduced the cost of feed 10 hatchable eggs by 1.9 and 2.8 respectively in comparison with the control P 0.05 .
