Heavy metal pollution in soils has attracted an increasing attention around the world in past decades. The contamination of agricultural soils is often a direct or indirect consequence of anthropogenic activities. Such pollutants, particularly heavy metals which are not biologically degraded like many organic pollutants; but tending to accumulated, can endanger public health by being incorporated into the food chain. |
