The crude enzyme extract of the strain was also characterized the activity with respect to temperature, pH, incubation period and two different enzyme substrates. High protease activity produced by Bacillus sp. B9 was observed at 36h of incubation at 45 oC with the initial pH of 9.0 by using gelatin as its substrate. Additionally, when using gelatin substrate, the protease activity was much higher than in the case of casein. |
