Banana (Musa spp.) is one of the most important commercial fruit crops especially in the tropics. Of the many diseases occurring on banana, sigatoka leaf spot disease incited by Mycosphaerella musicola Leach, is considered as serious threat to world banana production. Given the importance of yellow Sigatoka in banana plantations and lack of information on its epidemiology, the present study was conducted to assess the incidence of Sigatoka leaf spot in banana plants cultivated through organics manures and inorganic fertilizer. |
