Onion (Allium cepa L.) is one of the most important commercial vegetable crop grown in India. In Karnataka, Northeastern Dry Zone is the potential area for the production of onion. The major constraints in the production of onion are diseases caused by fungi. The present investigation was undertaken to know the disease severity in Northern parts of Karnataka. A roving survey was conducted to know the percent disease severity (PDI) of purple blotch, stemphylium blight and basal rot of onion in districts of Northern parts of Karnataka during kharif 2014-15. |
