Experiment was conducted to study the correlation studies in heliconia genotypes. Number of stalks per plant showed positive and significant correlations with number of shoots per plant (0.961 and 0.886), number of leaves per plant (0.784 and 0.712), leaf length (0.590 and 0.576), plant height (0.502 and 0.479), number of flowers per bract (0.476 and 0.444), leaf area (0.448 and 0.440), vase life (0.425 and 0.413) and stalk length (0.405 and 0.398) at both genotypic and phenotypic level. Among the genotypes studied, number of shoots exhibited significantly high positive association with number of stalks per plant. Thus, suggesting the possibility of simultaneous selection for this character. | Correlation studies in Heliconia genotypes
