The present study was conducted to compare the conception rates following breeding at foal heat versus induced heat in postpartum indigenous mares. Twenty mares with history of normal foaling and expulsion of placenta and occurrence of foal heat between 6-10 days after foaling were included in the study. These mares were subjected to transrectal ultrasonography during foal heat to record uterine oedema, accumulation of fluid and endometrial thickness. | Conception rates following breeding at foal heat versus induced heat in postpartum indigenous mares
