This study aims to show the accumulation matrix of some of the major toxic heavy metals namely, Cu, Pb and Cd in this geographical area so that some precautionary measures are taken immediately to control it at source and biotic communities in the ambient media are protected from the very toxic effect of these metals. | Status of heavy metal pollution in the sediment layer in world heritage site: Indian sundarban estuarine region
