The culture filtrates of endophytic bacterial isolates viz., EB16, EB18, EB19and EB3 significantly inhibited the egg hatching (93.36, 93.72, 91.08 and 85.80 per cent respectively), causing the juvenile mortality (95.67, 89.0, 82.67 and 77.33 per cent respectively) of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita at 100% concentrations with 60h of exposure. All the four isolates significantly inhibited the mycelial growth of fungal pathogens viz., Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici and Rhizoctonia solani in vitro. The four promising endophytic bacterial isolates viz., EB16, EB18, EB1 and 9 EB3 were identified as Bacillus cereus (Accession no. GU 321330), Bacillus pumilus (Accession no. GU 321331), Methylobacterium radiotolerans and Brevundimonas diminuta (Accession no. GU 321330), respectively by 16S rRNA gene sequence and phylogenetic tree construction. | Characterization of antinematicidal and antifungal bacterial microbes by 16s rRNA gene sequence
