This paper aims to test if Altman’s Z score (1968) can predict corporate failure of transportation companies in Vietnam in the last years. The data sample utilized for the test including sixteen companies listed on the HOSE and HNX. Eight of these companies are failed and the other eight are healthy. The results support the validity of Altman’s z score as a predictor of corporate failures. | Verifying the validity of Altman’s Z score as a predictor of firm failures in the case of Vietnamese transportation companies
