HOW TO READ ECG AND MAKE DIAGNOSIS Five-Finger Method Five-finger method is easy method which enables to gauge ECG from every aspect. Initially it looks a little long but after sometime it will become your habit to look upon every point of ECG and will be much quick. And do not miss any diagnosis because usually single ECG has more than one diagnosis Fig. . The three segments of every finger represent features of ECG. So total 15 features to be noted. So let s begin. These features are 1. Check lead positions and exclude dextrocardia. 2. Rhythm 3. Rate 4. QRS interval 5. PR interval 6.
