ASIAN PRODUCTIVITY ORGANIZATION Objective The Asian Productivity Organization APO is an inter-governmental regional organization established by Convention in 1961 to increase productivity in the countries of Asia and the Pacific through mutual cooperation. Membership APO membership is open to all Asian and Pacific Governments that are members of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ESCAP of the United Nations. Governments outside Asia and the Pacific may become Associate Members. APO member countries are Bangladesh Republic of China Fiji Hong Kong India Indonesia Islamic Republic of Iran Japan Republic of Korea Malaysia Mongolia Nepal Pakistan the Philippines Singapore Sri Lanka Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
