Automatic hyphenation To have InDesign automatically hyphenate selected paragraphs all you have to do is check the Hyphenate check box in the Paragraph panel or Control panel. Remember that in the Paragraph panel the Hyphenate check box appears only if you choose Show Options from the flyout menu. You can control how InDesign actually performs the hyphenation via the Hyphenation option in the flyout menu.
