TAILIEUCHUNG - Gender Influences on Child Survival, Health and Nutrition: A Narrative Review

Uganda has relevant health policies and regulations in place, many developed through a participatory multi-stakeholder process, including the recent HSSIP. Innovative policies that are currently under development include the Public-Private Partnership in Health Policy. The health sector has many actors including nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations, HDPs, and multiple government agencies beyond the MoH. A recently signed country “Compact” is a new mechanism for coordination in the health sector. Implementation of the Compact will require ongoing commitment from the above-mentioned stakeholders.
