Knit 1 round. Knit rounds 1-13 of Chart A knitting all even rounds. This and all other charts only show right side rows. Knit 59 stitches. CO 3 stitches with the knit on cast on in the next stitch. row1 knit 2 ssk turn row 2 knit 3 turn repeat rows 1 and 2 15 more times so you have decreased 16 stitches. You should have 51 stitches on your needle. Knit 3 knit row 1 of Chart B knit 3 into the 3 stitch cast on edge. Place markers as needed. On the next and all other WS rows until otherwise stated Knit 3 purl to last 3 stitches knit 3. Knit the first and last 3 stitches on all RS rows for the rest of the shawl until otherwise stated. These 3 stitches are not shown on any chart. Knit one repeat of chart C one repeat of chart D right one repeat of chart C one repeat of chart D left one repeat of chart C.
