Since these precancerous lesions are rarely seen in children 31 perhaps eradication should take place in childhood to prevent the development of these pre-cancerous lesions later in life. Currently the effect of H. pylori eradication on the incidence of gastric cancer is unknown and conclusive trials will take many years.
