Before choosing or recommending information resources for men with prostate cancer, health- care professionals should check that their content is clear, reliable and up to date. Healthcare professionals should seek feedback from men with prostate cancer and their carers to identify the highest quality information resources. Healthcare professionals caring for men with prostate cancer should ascertain the extent to which the man wishes to be involved in decision making and ensure that he has sufficient information to do so. A validated, up-to-date decision aid is recommended for use in all urological cancer multidis- ciplinary teams (MDTs).
