Drug-Drug Interactions Do not use sotalol with drugs that prolong the QT interval Class I and II antiarrhythmics phenothiazine tricyclic antidepressants because these increase cardiovascular effects. Class I and II antiarrhythmics should be held for at least three halflives before initiating sotalol use.
