Here you will drag and drop a layer multiple layers or a layer group from the Layers panel of a source document into a target document. An advantage of this method is that if the source file contains multiple layers you can control which ones are copied. Here as with the Move tool method pixels that lie outside the live canvas area are included. To drag-copy a layer between files via the Layers panel 1. Open the source and target documents.
